Summary: Masterpiece of photography in the 70s
Comment: This book is a nice summary of Malanga's photographical work. Don't expect much new work. The portraits e.g. are a selection of those in "Resistance to Memory", but the framing is much better (and it's cheaper). Anyway, Screen Tests and Portraits gives a great view into New York's Underground and Warhol's Factory of the 70s. It's a pitty that the poems of Malanga are not integrated in this publication, because some of these poems are written especially for the "Screen Tests", e.g. Nico's Screen Test. This document can't be missed in your Factory collection!
