Summary: Helpful... but the "companion web site" is not there!!!
Comment: I found this to be a quick intro to Dreamweaver MX (I already did the tutorial for an earlier version) and it was helpful... but it is really just an overview. Also, the "companion web site" that is supposed to have code examples is no longer there!!!

I was able to get this at Fry's for $20 with a $20 mail-in rebate... that price probably explains why the on-line info is not available. :(

Summary: If you are looking for a picture book...
Comment: If you are looking for a picture book that points and shows you what all the menus do then maybe you will like this book. This book is very basic and does not go into detail on any of the menus and functions in Dreamweaver. This book also is more pictures (blurry, hard to read) then text. I found very little that was helpful and the rest I felt was a waste of time to read. I am the type that needs detailed explanations on how to use the different options in Dreamweaver and this book does NOT offer that.

Summary: Good reference if you are already familiar with Ultradev
Comment: This is not a training book, but if you are familiar with Dreamweaver Ultradev 1.0 or 4.0, and you want a quick reference on how to insert, edit, delete & search content on a database, this is a good book (that was exactly what I was looking for). Please, note that it focuses on ASP/VBScript technologies, although there's a starting point on ASP.Net.

If you really want to learn how to work with non-dynamic features of Dreamweaver MX (tables, layers, templates, css, etc.), I don't think this is the book for you.
