Summary: An EXCELLENT book-- but it's flopped...
Comment: I'd like to start out by saying-- Naoko Takeuchi is one of the most talented and dedicated Authors and Artist's that I've ever SEEN! Her tied together manga series, Codename wa Sailor V, and Sailor Moon, are one of the most brilliant and thorough that I've ever read. The only reason I gave this manga book FOUR stars, is because of Mixx. Mixx cuts off some of the words, edits what our heroines are saying, and FLOPS it! I would like to see a Sailor Moon Manga version with only minimal touchups, just the sound effects and direct translation without the 'mirrored' effect. I'd like to see the original drawings of our beloved USAGI, MINAKO, REI, MAKOTO, and AMI (not Bunny, Mina, Raye, Lita, and Amy, the way they were meant to be seen by the artist. It annoys me very much. Viz did a much better job with translation and doing an 'UNFLOPPED' version of Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball Z. Die-hard Sailor Moon fans, I would suggest you get this version to begin with, and then buy the original versions with scripts (you can get these at Ebay, or other anime/manga/SM stores online). Other than the annoying 'FLOP' and the changing of names, the actual story and art aren't half bad!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: I give this book 5 stars!
Comment: If you havent read this book, then get up and buy the book at the nearest bookstore. This is the best book you'll ever encounter. Because it is a manga, it beats all the other books that have long words in it. the book itself has lots of pretty pictures of your favorite scouts all in black in white. You wont regret this i promise. Well the story goes like this: Bunny is a fourteen year old teenage girl that meets a black talking cat named Luna. but luna claims that Bunny is the sailor suited warrior, sailor moon! Now Bunny must find her fellow scouts, mars, jupiter, mercury, and venus. she also has to beat the villians, find the silver imperium crystal, and protect the moon princess. Now thats a lot of orders! But as she fights her way through, she meets a mysterious guy named tuxedo mask, very handsome, she falls in love with him...

Summary: A great series includes a great beginning.
Comment: Yes, this book is one of my favorites. It has it's similarities and differences to the manga. Similarites: It has the same plot same villians, same sailor scouts in order of appearences. But the differences are: The magna is intended for older people. Comparing this to the anime, it seems like that's more for younger kids{ except the original uncut version and special uncut of Sailor Moon}.
This book has a different beginning to the manga, and parts I'd wish they included in it. I think every time I read the manga I'll wish for that, because it's not just this one, it's the other ones to.
In this book, we meet Serena Tsukino{better known as Bunny, Usagi in the japanese version}. She meets a cat named Luna, who later bacomes Bunny's guardian cat. Luna gives Bunny a brooch{ the one that she has on on the front page, which I think looks prettier than the one in the anime}to tranform into the warrior for good, Sailor Moon to battle the evil forces { Bunny's only worring about the Dark Kingdom right now. The other senshi Mercury {Amy Mizuno, Ami in the japanese}, Mars {Raye Hino, Rei in the japanese}, Jupiter {Lita Kino, Makato in the japanese} appear. Sailor Venus {Mina Aino, Minako in the japanese} appears in the next book. So if you want to read a great manga, read this. Not just this manga, but all the other sm mangas, too.
