Customer Reviews

Rating: 5
Summary: A terrific countermeasure
Comment: As an employer, I can say with no reservation that this is one very useful book. Trying to hire the right people has been a headache for me for years, but with this book, I can get rid of the phonies right up front. It really is effective, showing how to see things that don't make sense right away, and how to quickly check suspicious entries. If you hire people, you will find this book a good resource.

Rating: 5
Summary: VERY helpful! Every hiring manager should have it.
Comment: This book has to be the best hiring aid I ever had. I've been using it for over a year and just got two more copies of the new 2nd edition for my department managers. It will help you screen out the dopes and liars, and I tell you this from experience. I could not believe the con games I have uncovered using this book.

Rating: 5
Summary: A tremendous tool for all who screen applicants
Comment: Dr. Ford has nailed down 99% of the scams and frauds that phonies use to try to get jobs they shouldn't have. This book is absolutely neccessary for anyone who has the job of trying to protect a hiring organization from phonies. It should be on the desk of all HR people as well as independent recruiters, counselors, and instructors. Well done!
