Summary: Hilarious!
Comment: Katya Livingstone is the type of person you do not want to get involved with: she will take your husband, house, job, so long as it gets her somewhere in life (hence "sociopathic social climber" in the title). Set in Melbourne & being a Melbourne gal myself, I found I could relate to the setting: trendy cafes in South Yarra, St Kilda & Fitzroy; warehouses in Collingwood; mansions in Toorak & Kew.

Katya often gets herself into sticky situations & basically bullies her "friends" into getting her out of them (not that she likes half of them!)

This book is a fun, laugh out loud, at times farcical, read. It's difficult to like Katya, but the way the book's written, you don't need to - she's not asking for your sympathy.
