Summary: This book misses the point...
Comment: My problem with this book is that it focusses on calories and weight loss rather than NUTRITION.
I find it silly that so someone would actually go to, say, Coldstone, and feel good about ordering the light ice cream, as opposed to the regular kind. In fact, it is my personal opinion that if you eat a healthy diet most of the time, you should go to places like Dunkin Donuts and order a MODERATE PORTION of the thing you want the most (regardless of the calories). Junk food is supposed to be a treat, not sustenance. The book seems to focus on choosing the lesser of two evils. Why not promote a healthy diet with lots of unprocessed foods? That is what is best for the body as a whole, not just from the standpoint of caloric intake/weight loss.
That being said, I won't give this book just one star, because for someone who (sadly) does eat fast food frequently, I think some of the advice is helpful. I understand that certain professionals dine out on a regular basis as part of their work. In those situations, I think it is wise to make the best of the situation, and some of the tips in this book will help. (But I still think it's mostly common sense).
If anything, I hope you will read this book and be frightened by all the nutrition info for ALL the options at the fast food restaurants (even the "eat this" choices). It certainly makes me want to buy my own groceries and eat in as much as possible.

Comment: Let me just say that this book is AWESOME! I am not a huge fast food fan or a frequent customer of casual dining restaurants, but the things I picked up from this book are helpful regardless. Definitely a great addition to any health-concious person's library!
