Summary: "All hail...."
Comment: I knew one day I'd end up writing this review.
Yes, I just ordered this manga, read it, jotted stuff down in it just like Volume 2, and must say... well, it's better than the second. I think.
Let me explain, once more.
Yah, it's true, the 02 story does lose quite a bit, and Daisuke's language can really, REALLY bug you at times (don't get me started...). Other things? Gladly. Taichi (Tai) seems to have psychic abilities, coming out of nowhere, ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE, and telling Daisuke and the kids (Yolei/Miyako, etc...) about Ken's brother's tragic death and whatnot. How does that work? I HAVE NO IDEA! It really bugs me. *__*
...
I might as well say some good stuff. I think the soccer scene has translated/been drawn well. It's cool. All their expressions are amazingly cute, even Kai-kun (Ken/evil Ken). I mean that.
So... like I said in the V.2 review:
A) read it if you don't care about pacing and
B) Two volumes, and Kai-kun-sama's only in four chapters...Taichi has psychic powers... TWO?! @__@ AAAAAAHHH! (goes on screaming for fifteen minutes)
...It's good. Really. Just kiss good pacing goodbye.

Summary: Welcome to Digimon 02
Comment: This is gotta be my all-time favorite anything. I am grateful the series has been brought to manga format to entertain a new audience.
The art is nice in the book, but I wish they didn't abridge it so. Digimon 02 is all about the evolution of Ken's character, and the entire "Genesis of Evil" episode is missing! Wormmon's speech at the end of the Crest of Kindness is barely a sentence. and the "Opposites Attract" is barely a panel, (which, without the "Genesis of Evil" or "His Master's Voice" episodes, doesn't make a whole lot of sense). The whole thing is hurried up, and it loses a lot of it's beautiful charm. There's some great manga art material lost here that oughta be here!
Also, for some reason they decided to change Davis Motomiya from cute surfer dude to someone who says things like "bling-bling" and fa-shizzle.
I guess this manga brings the story up to "The Insect Master's House" although that story is still missing here. Also, some of the Crests and Digimetals are misplaced and given to the wrong kids and digimon at the wrong times.
