Summary: Way better than Tarascon Pocket Pharmacopoeia!
Comment: This book outshines the Tarascon Pocket book in quite a few ways. It details the mechanism of action of all the drugs and provides a succinct snapshot of the adverse efects also. It is also WAY better in terms of readability and layout. I appreciated the index markings on the page ends for quick navigation and the extensive list of agents discussed. The layout is columned and logical. Pharmacologic and brand names are nicely separated in rows. All in all using the book is a pleasure, finding the right drug fast and prescribing competently is easy. For a pocket book, "Drug Pocket" is reliable and offers a ton!

Rating: 5
Summary: Strongly recommended
Comment: Forget about Tarascon's pocket pharmacopoeia. This book is much better, much easier to read, much sterdier with rounded corners (so it does not get all bent over when placed in shirt pocket often). All drugs are described with indication, side effects, dosage and short overview of each drug class. You cannot loose with this book. This book is great for physicians, interns, and can also be of use for other clinicians such as nurses and respiratory therapists. STRONGLY recommended

Summary: Highly recommended
Comment: I have a recommendation for you. I previousely ordered a pharmaceutical reference that fit into the breast pocket of my white coat called :"Drug pocket Clinical Reference Guide" by Borm Bruckmeier Publishing.
While doing my H&P's last semester, I got pimped by a 3rd year house officer asking the contraindication of some arcane drug I never heard of. I whup'd out my Drug pocket and in a heartbeat, found the answer.
Suffice it to say, it [saved me]!
