Summary: Enjoyable
Comment: This book wasn't the usual Lindsey - it didn't have the same intelligent conversation and witty dialogue. It was, however, a fun book to read. Twin girls, both beautiful, hate each other since they were young because one is selfish and cruel but the other is kind and sensitive. So the kind one dressed like a dowd to avoid notice and her sister's cruel attention.
When Amanda, our nice sister, meets Chad who has come to escort them to her aunt's ranch, she falls for him. But she is so busy plotting to make sure her sister doesn't know her feelings that all sorts of misunderstandings occur. This adds to the book's light charm. There is also enough action (train robberies, kidnapping...) to keep the fan of the western genre interested as the girls struggle to fit into their new ranching life.
Of course, we have our happy ending but there are also a few twists and turns you wouldn't expect to find in a typical romance - they keep you turning the pages, though.
Overall, I enjoyed the book and finished it quickly. I look forward to the next Lindsey novel!

Summary: A western tale worthy of reading
Comment: The story begins rather slowly in narrative explaining the relationships with the sisters. More narrative with explaining the aunt and then Chad. The story really picks up a third of the way through as the travails and love between Marian and Chad pick up.
On the whole it is a wonderful Johanna Lindsey spun tale. It is certainly much better than her last book "The Pursuit." I find this book has much more narrative and more telling the story than Johanna's usual tales of living the story with the characters. Perhaps it is a new approach to her writing. The plot okay and so were the characters until you really met the twins, Chad, and Spence.
Although the book lacked for Johanna's normal wit and humor I have to admit I enjoyed it. I did not care for the ending at all, but you will have to read it and make your own judgements.

Summary: DEFINITELY WORTH READING
Comment: I HAVE ALL OF JOHANNA LINDSEYS BOOKS -- AND I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THIS IS ONE OF HER BETTER ONES -- AT LEAST WITH THIS ONE YOU JUST CAN PREDICT THE ENDING(WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MARIAN ENDING UP WITH CHAD...) DEFINITELY WORTH READING
