Summary: Very easy to understand
Comment: Randy Shih does an excellent job of teaching the basics of parametric modeling in Autodesk Inventor R6. The book is full of step by step images of lessons, starting from parmetric modeling fundementals to assembly modeling. Each of the ten chapters is about 30 pages long:

Parametric Constraints Fundamentals
The Base Orphan Reference Node (BORN) Technique and Work Features
Part Drawing and Associative Functionality
Symmetrical Features in Designs

Assembly Modeling - Putting it All Together

The book is written as a class textbook, so there are end of chapter questions and exerises. The only problem with this book is that it is an introduction to Inventor, so it does address Inventor's advanced features.
