Title: How To Manage Your DICK: Redirect Sexual Energy and Discover Your More Spiritually Enlightened, Evolved Self by Sean O'Reilly ISBN: 1-58008-350-1 Publisher: Auriga Pub. Group Pub. Date: 01 September, 2001 Format: Paperback Volumes: 1 List Price(USD): $15.95 |

Rating: 5
Summary: A fanstastic book. True, relevant, helpful and entertaining.
Comment: I can't say enough about the power and timliness of this book. Although humorous and insightful it is also powerful and as penetrating as its subject matter.
Drawing upon such diverse traditions as quantum physics and Taosim, O'Reilly is able to bridge western and eastern traditions to brilliantly conclude a better behavior for the reader.
The only way I could imagine to improve the book is for it to provide an index. Even without one this book is a treasure and
is uniquely though provoking.
Now is a wonderful time to read this book as O'Reilly is generous monitoring the books related website and answering readers questions. (Just do a google search for the book).
Rating: 2
Summary: Brazen, repetitive, superstitious and morally pretentious. .
Comment: "How to Manage . . ." is all of the above. Though eclectic and interesting at times, one will be hard pressed to find any truly concrete and useful techniques for self-improvement in this book. Drawing from many sources, O'Reilly manages to quote highly respected and popular scientists, philosophers and religious figures only to combine their original ideas into lackluster, Christian-tainted, moralizing. Here's the main message of the book (minus all the religious/superstious [stuff]) : Sexual and other primitive impulses can control and destroy us. To the extent that we can exercise control over these impulses, we can achieve greater success, happiness and enlightenment in our lives.
Though O'Reilly's candid dialogue is refreshing, many will find him to be morally arrogant and devoid of any real substance. So unless you want to read another sermon on why sex is bad bad bad (unless, of course, it's with your wife), or about how you should direct your "Chi" through energy "Chakras" in order to obtain quantum connections to hyperspace, I wouldn't recommend this one.
Rating: 5
Summary: Helpful for obsessions with internet porn
Comment: Just say "NO" doesn't work when it comes to newsgroups containing binary titillating eroticism. This book truly explains the flow of energy involved in seeking sexual relief through porno and masturbation. Well done, and a discovery.
