Summary: Very Important Work
Comment: I think this is one of the most important works written on the Western Path of development. Gray has numerous ideas that are different than the standard Golden Dawn literature. In many of his works he has a slight moralistic and sermonizing tone which I find distasteful but it is never extreme or over the top. Some of Gray's changes include a reworking of the attribution of the tarot cards to the paths on the Tree of Life- in many respects his system at least makes sense which cannot be said for the Golden Dawn placements. He also has one of the more interesting views on Daath and its importance in the sephiroth. This alone makes the book worth its place in your occult book collection.

Summary: For the dedicated student
Comment: those familiar with the subject of Quaballah will find the techniques used in this book very interesting. The mental techniques and symbolism are easy enough for the beginner to understand and for the some-what experienced to use as a stepping stone to look at things in a different way. Lack of familiarity with mystisism should not turn anyone away. The book is able to fill in alot of the blanks that some people may have on the subject.
