Comment: It was definately interesting to read the von trapp's story from one of the children's point of views. It was very nice to learn more about Agathe and Georg von Trapp. The only reason I didn't like it was sometimes it seemd that she was a bit complainy towards Maria and "the Sound of Music." It seemed at times the book was written more to set the record strait than out of love. Overall the book was touching though just like her Mother's beautiful book "The Story of the Trapp Family Singers."

Comment: OK, I have to confess I checked my local library first, but they didn't have it, so I got out my credit card.
I have read as much as possible about the von Trapp family from many sources but still gleaned much new information from this book.
I don't believe many people realize how old the children were before they finally quit after years of touring.
And I thought the best part was at the end when she told what happened to each of the children. They have lived diverse and meaningful lives and both Maria and the Captain would be proud of them.

Summary: an absorbing autobiography
Comment: I was delighted with this well written autobiography by the oldest daughter of the von Trapp family of "Sound of Music" fame. She tells the story of her life before and after "The Sound of Music" became so popular. She also brings us up to date on all of her sisters and brothers. I loved her sketches that are in the book and the beautiful photographs. I am giving this book to all my friends. I would highly recommend this lovely book to other readers because it tells the true story of this famous family. Knowing what their life was really like was more exciting to me than any movie.
