Summary: WOW Great Book
Comment: While delving into this book, I was amazed at the personal power it had. People skills are reallly something that you can not take for granted. This book eloquently explores the essence of workplace interactions. When successfully mastered, no interpersonal interactions can be too chalenging in the workplace. I highly recommend this text for anyone who ever deals with people. Get your copy to be peoplesmart today.

Summary: Creating Smarter People
Comment: This book is practical and down-to-earth. The ideas given are novel and can be put into practice easily. The book stresses more on inter-personal communication, rightly so as this happens to the foundation for Interpersonal relations. Chapters like 'influencing others' and 'being a team player' would certainly help the 'organisational man'. I would suggest that this is an essential reading for enhancing relationships - personal as well as professional.

Rating: 2
Summary: a how-to book with step by instructions and exercises
Comment: I did not finish the book - it is more like a 'workbook' than a book. I was hoping to get some insight into how to deal with people in the workplace - this book is full of material that I consider to be common sense. Little emperical or formal evidence is offered.
I suggest 'The Secret Handshake' by Kathleen Kelley Reardon for readers interested in improving their polical skills in a business setting.
That's my take - loopster - Chicago, IL
