Summary: The best book on the subject
Comment: If you can own only one book on the subject of prayer, buy this one! I have read many well-intentioned books on prayer, but this is the only one I return to again and again. Emilie Griffin is a remarkably sensitive and sensible writer. Others write in an esoteric, meandering devotional style about this universal subject. Griffin goes right to the core of the issue in a practical style that embraces reality and truth. I will never part with this book; it is underlined over and over.
