Summary: Best available resource on Director
Comment: I have been using Macromedia Director since version 1.0, and this is the best resource on the subject I have encountered in all that time. (I should note that it is actually only 1/2 of the best resource, since it should be bought with its companion, Lingo in a Nutshell.)
This is not a beginner's book and, although Bruce makes a conscientious effort to write to all levels, I expect that Director novices will be overpowered by the sheer torrent of information. I heartily recommend the book for anyone else at all, from advanced beginner to Xtra-writing superGeek.
If you have to take two Director books with you to a desert island (along with your PowerBook and solar generator), these are they. If you don't want to go to a desert island, give me the books and generator and computer, and send me instead.

Summary: It is simply the best!
Comment: I found Bruce Epstein's Director and Lingo in a Nutshell books wonderful. They are really the best for anyone that is serious about learning Director and Lingo programming. Very easy to read and finally, to understand. This man is a Lingo GOD! If you want to learn Director these are the books for you. Thanks Bruce!
