Summary: Every issue has two sides.
Comment: As a Mormon who has read the book, I found it interesting but inflammatory. I have been a member my whole life but was amazed at the things in this work that were attributed to me and my faith. Many of the practices I had never heard of or were severely distorted.

Much of the argument boils down to ridicule and derision on par with, "the Catholic church is false because the Pope wears a funny hat" or "Buddhism must be false because their mantras sound like satanic moans". The fact is, most religion is a little strange when compared with our normal experience. Furthermore, poking fun at another's beliefs is tantamount to third grade taunting.

The book, however, is captivating and an interesting angle. I would just caution anyone who reads this to find out about the Mormons to remember that there are two sides to any story and one should seek a balanced view. Mormons, like anybody else, do not like to be made fun of and can be expected to be hostile to such attacks. But on the most part they are normal conservative Americans like anybody else.

Lastly, I would advise anybody to be skeptical of any author or organization (such as Saints Alive) that has as its central premise that another organization is wrong; they will then jump on anything that can be taken as negative to prove their point. In reality, a book like this can be (and probably has been) written about all religions, but this is not where I would go to further my education.

Summary: What I needed to question the history of the lds church!
Comment: Although I live in Utah I never payed much attention to the Mormon cult. When asked to join by members, I would tell them that Mormonism seemed fraudulent to me . However all I really knew were details about the Mormon massacre (mountain medows massacre), polygamy, and the way they changed things in their own history.

I found out about saints alive which is run by Ed Decker, then I decided to get one of his books, The God Makers was my choice. This book is excellent for anybody trying to find all the loopholes in the lds church. It is not filled with propaganda but facts found by Ed Decker and many other researchers on this true American cult. The book covers the faulty history of the church and provides much information on the founder Joseph Smith, which points to him as being a complete fraud and showed how he deceived people. Of course this is important since the lds church stands or falls on him. It shows the way he based much of his teaching from pagan ideas. It doesn't just deal with the faulty history of the church either. One of my favorite chapters tells what would happen if the lds started to come to world wide power. Also about the secret rituals practiced in the church and many other ways of how the book of Mormon contradicts the bible. He provides key footnotes so you can compare them for yourself.

What bothers me is the reviews on this book. Since most reviews came from Utah Mormons, I think they have not even read the book. Some even admit it in there review and simply saying not the truth. Others question Ed Decker. Much of the god makers are articles and what not by many different people studying the church. Some people say we need to make a more loving and calm approach. I think that is true but when talking to a brainwashed Mormon all you can do is provide facts and show them that this simply isn't Christianity.

Summary: Satanic Work At its Best
Comment: This book is a tribute to the satanic work that the devil puts out to draw people unto him and his darkness. Why would anyone spend their own time trying to rip down a church that was based on Gods true church established by Jesus Christ. That itself is satanic and evil. This church teaches love and goodwill to all men. This Church teaches how to draw near unto Jesus and The LDS church IS the ONLY true church.
