Summary: A real gem
Comment: Marrianne Williamson's work is both real and honest. Rather than couch things in a concepts that are alien or extremely religious, she talks to you about the realities of existing. Of how things will not always be easy, about how you will lose your way, and honestly how to see people clearly. Growth is messy, it's not neat, maturity is not easy, nor is spirtiuality delicate work, but with assistance from a tape like this you can see yourself clearly and how to bridge yourself from concept to human to spiritual being.

Rating: 4
Summary: Dynamic speaker
Comment: Why is it that I like Marianne Williamson's audio series so much? One of the reasons is that, unlike her books (which are sometimes badly edited), the audio lectures bring us the full force of Marianne's message to the world. As a speaker, she is dynamic, funny and at times irreverent. Unlike a lot of today's spiritural leaders, Marianne takes a nonjudgemental approach to peoples lives. She isn't trying to convert anyone, but instead she takes joy in preaching to the choir. And what is her message? It is as simple a message as that fear, negativity and hatred are the opposite of our true nature as people of God. And what evidence does she offer for this? Her own life, which was miserable until she found a way out. Marianne draws on a wide variety of religious and philosophical influences, and is comfortable talking about origins as varied as new age mysticism, Judeo Christian tradions, and Near Eastern philosophy and religions.

Marianne is the first to say that her lectures hold no monopoly on religious truth. What they do hold is a peaceful alternative to the devisive rhetoric of a lot of today's religious leaders. I own most of her tapes, and each time I listen to them I amused and inspired to be a better person.
