The bibliography is good and can lead the reader to other more comprehensive books on the subject. Lack of explanation of many words that are uniquely Amish and/or Mennonite is disappointing.

Comment: This is a very good book, and a good first book. If you are interested in the Old Order Mennonites and the Amish, this is a good first book to get. It does not cover the "Conservative Mennonite Movement" which includes many Mennonites that would not be classified as "Old Order," but the book is good anyway.
