Summary: Addicted to Baskets
Comment: This book has fuzzy pictures, it seems to me hurridly written, with supposedly "original" baskets, but these baskets are the most common type with maybe one little difference to call it "original." I have made one basket from this book, just to get my money's worth, and the book is already falling apart. I have many basket weaving books, and this is probably my least favorite.

Summary: Needs More Detail
Comment: I bought this book on the urging of a friend. I think that the information is really good but I don't feel that there's enough step by step information for the beginner. I do, however, like the great deal of helpful hints. I just wish that the technique section did not look like it was drawn on a very old computer. I find some of the techniques very hard to follow due to the lack of quality picts.
I especially don't like the basket designs. The book does not have a detailed (close up) photograph of the finished product. After weaving, you can't see enough detail to compare your work to the author's (other weavers).
I prefer Lyn Siler books. They have a great deal more detail of the finished product.

Summary: Good instruction for Beginning to Advanced Weavers
Comment: As an intermediate weaver, I would recommend this book to weavers from beginning to advanced. I especially liked the thorough diagrams, advice for dyeing, the nice borders, and, of course, the finished products. If you like original basketry, you'll love this book.
