Summary: A Must Have Issue for the Poetry Devotee
Comment: I discovered Gargoyle through my friend Priscilla Lee when she gave me a copy of Gargoyle #46, the Spoken Word/ Music CD. I just received Gargoyle #47 and it contains over 100 pages of fine poetry plus fiction and essays. Poetry is what I'm after and I am very pleased with Gargoyle. Also, do not miss the Gargoyle #46 CD! It is hard to find and contains great verse and musical backing, which I seem to never tire of. Search Amazon.com "All Products" and enter Gargoyle 46.

Summary: Another great issue
Comment: For nearly three decades this independent international literary journal has published an amazing array of authors (Julia Alvarez, TC Boyle, Helen Schulman, Rita Dove, Ben Marcus, Antonya Nelson, among many others). This latest issue only adds to their remarkable record. There is a plethora of quality poetry here, with new works by Elan Georgiou and Jennifer Michael Hecht. For fiction, some superb stories by established writers like Philip Graham, Valerie Miner, Katherine Weber and Alexander Theroux, and many new voices worth noting, including an absurd short by Natasha Cho, and an even more hilarious tale by Thom Didato.
In the dicey literary journal world, Gargoyle continues to publish thought-provoking and entertaining literary works of high quality. Readers, rest assured, your money will be well spent here...
Once again, another remarkable issue added to the publication's impressive history.
