Summary: Illusion Show Review
Comment: I'm reading Illusion Show for the second time now and I find it more fascinating than the first time. If your interests are in vaudeville theatre, 1930s stageshows, magic history, latin american entertainment, or you just enjoy biographies, this book is a must. David Bamberg is the last in a long line of magicians. He made his fame and fortune in the latin american countries during the 30's and 40's. His show has been described by many as the BEST ILLUSION SHOW of the 20th Century, surpassing Kellar, Thurston, Blackstone,Dante, Houdini and all the rest. David Bamberg was a genious without a doubt and as a full time Magical Illusionist I highly recommend this book to everyone interested in the history of showbusiness.
Rating: 4
Summary: An exciting tale of a great 20th century illusionist.
Comment: I highly recommend this book if you have an interest in magicalhistory. Bamberg not only relates his personal experience with manygreats (family friend of Houdini, Thurston, Okito) but has a wonderful storytelling style. He was quite a character with an amazing life story to share. At times, i found myself laughing out loud. The book beat all of my expectations and is highly recommended.
