Comment: This is the bible of collecting German helmets. Out of print and difficult to find. The photos are a little dark but that may be the only flaw in a book that covers the development and history of the German war helmet. An excellent reference book. Readers may also refer to 2 books by Kelly Hicks of VA, these volumes concentrate on the helmets of the SS. Hicks is a noted US collector and foremost authority on the German SS helmet. His books are "SS Helmets", collector guides, Vol 1 and 2, and are produced by Reddick enterprises in TX. These three books are essential for the WW2 militaria collector.
