Summary: Destined to become a well-used favorite cookbook
Comment: I have owned a copy of this cookbook for a number of years and am ordering additional copies to use as gifts. Some of my "famous" recipes are from this book. Manchu Garden Salad can feed up to 50 and is my most requested recipe. Larry's Spaghetti and Meatballs can serve up to 35. I like to freeze it for future meals - it tastes great made with Marsala wine! I have multipled the recipe titled " Birthday Cake" to make large sheet cakes for Christenings. Forget about cake mixes, this is far superior. Tastes great with cream cheese frosting. Tiny Pecan Pies, Chicken Pie, Lazy Man's Beef Stew, and Crepes Fasnacloich are recipes I turn to again and again. All delicious, traditional cooking. I find the need at times to "lighten" some of the recipes; substituting lowfat milk, ground turkey for ground beef by personal preference. This is not a light cooking source book, but if you want to cook homey meals for family or large gatherings, this cookbook is for you.
