Summary: Extremely helpful and well thought out
Comment: I'm a high school teacher who took an interest in portfolio creation. Unfortunately, much of the work within this field concerns elementary and middle school levels with very little to no focus on the upper grade levels. This book however, provides a excellent stepping stone for anyone considering portfolios for use in their classroom. I now intend to use two of the various types of portfolios in my social studies class - the knowledge portfolio consisting of the student's work throughout the school year and secondly an achievement portfolio containing a collection of the student's "best" work (e.g. 10). If a 4 1/2 were possible this is a more accurate grade. The only thing I wished it had were more suggestions for products to use throughout the school year.

Summary: Recommended for student teachers & classroom instructors.
