Summary: Enjoyable and Informative Coffee Table Architecture Book
Comment: This book offers at least one, sometimes as many as four, pages on a range of buildings built between 1851 and 1945. Each building has four or five paragraphs of description, relating the building to the history of architecture, and then wonderful illustrations including exterior and interior photographs, detail photographs, architectural drawings, and plans. It is perfect for browsing - you can open it to a page, flip through and look at a building or two, and then close it again. The whole is punctuated by several short chapters (less than 10 pages) about important movements or styles that developed during this period. This oversize book is beautiful and interesting - great for any architecture buff.
