Summary: Faith based enviromentalism.
Comment: This is a faith based environmentalism - that is you must believe in the 'idea' of the free market for it to work. And sorry to say, that faith has been tested and found wanting. Just in the past few years - nay decades - we have seen various ways in which the 'free market' has been co-opted and corrupted - from the S&L scandal. energy de-reg, to the various post-bubble stock market scandals. And now the authors want to place our natural resources into the hands of the free market?
No thank you sirs.
Better laws and total reviews of suspect agencies like the BLM and Army Corp. than this so called 'free market.'

Summary: Economy and Ecology in Harmony
Comment: Enviro-Capitalists is a must-read for anybody interested in both business and the environment. Anderson and Leal give plenty of examples to back up their thesis that economy and ecology can produce positive synergies. 'Doing good while doing well' has been an inspiration to me.---Ben Harkema
