Summary: For Taking the Next Step in German
Comment: All study courses in the Listen N Learn series rely heavily on impromptu recordings (versus canned studio-recorded dialogues). This course is no different. There are lots of interviews with real Germans, who discuss various aspects of their daily lives. The course also makes use of German-language radio commercials. The accompanying textbook is well organized, and contains transcripts of most of the recorded material, plus supplementary notes and exercises.

Because Listen N Learn courses consist almost entirely of realistic dialogues and interviews, this series is often challenging for beginning students (there are Listen N Learn courses at the beginning level in most languages.) However, this same characteristic makes Listen N Learn a good choice for intermediate students. You will be especially pleased with this course if you have felt that other supposedly "intermediate" German courses were in fact just a rehash of beginning level material, or otherwise unchallenging.

If your German is anything short of fluent, you can probably benefit from this course.
