Summary: Spook Night Review
Comment: SPOOK NIGHT by David Robbins Genre: Horror

Another exellent horror yarn from the pen of Mr Robbins. The story revolves around a family called the Grants who have recently moved to a farmhouse in the little town of Spook Hollow to get away from the rat race in Philly. The family have an ancient springhouse in the grounds of their farmhouse and which has never been opened due to a heavy door that no-one has a key for. After hearing a thumping from inside the building they send for a locksmith to open it and which the man does but then is killed when he's dragged into the well inside the springhouse by an invisible entity. After this the murder and mayhem develops at a brisk race and involves a phantom headless horseman who lops off people heads and a ghostly head that terrorizes the Grant family. The story builds to a great climax as John Grant (the father) tries to unite the head at the bottom of the well with the headless horseman. This was a great read, I particularly liked how the Grant family was brought together by the adversity they faced after they had began to drift apart because of family friction, I really liked the part of the book when the estranged husband and wife (John & Laurie Grant) realise how much they love and care for each other, I found that scene really moving. Highly recommended book.

Summary: Entertaining, easy to read
Comment: I thought this book was an eay to read novel and kind-a fun. It was one of those simple books that really seem to relate to a younger reader, but when you get in the Halloween spirit and you have some free time on your hands, I recommend this book. It is fun and easy and even spooky on a part or two! Based a lot on the Headless Horseman character, I enjoyed the read.
