Summary: I'm Speechless
Comment: This book was a great disappointment. I bought it and sent it to my husband who loves jokes, this book is full of one liners that are very old out of date and childish. Nothing like I thought it would be. If you are looking for a good joke book that will keep you entertained this is not it. One of the jokes was,"Why did the chicken cross the road?" answer," to get to the other side."
I think you would get the point and I think that is enough said!

Rating: 4
Summary: clever, funny
Comment: Yes, most of the jokes are funny, most are clever, great job of compiling this obviously copyrighted material, negotiating with authors... It must be a lot of work but the result does beat your average Internet joke site with 1 funny joke out of 100. Here you may laugh every other page.

2 complaints, big and small. Big complaint: political bias. Pushing an agenda. All jokes in "God" section are anti-god (ok by me since I am an agnostic) and in "Guns" section are anti-gun (not ok by me, an NRA member and pro-second), but stand up comedians probably do write mostly for leftist-liberal crowd so that should be ok. Small complaint: icky title and cover. Yak.

Summary: Joke Stew provides a hardy laugh!
Comment: This book is a must have for aspiring comics and comedy lovers alike. Brown's book is a tool that inspires as well as guides those interested in the art of joke writing. The book includes a wide range of talent from legendary comics like Bill Cosby to the up and coming comedic stars of tomorrow. If nothing else the book allows the reader the opportunity to learn what makes these neurotic people tick.
