Summary: Great!
Comment: If you're looking for answers, you won't find them in this book. But this book contains quite a range of very well-considered objections to current theories and discourses of international relations, and incorporates many perspectives, both historical and theoretical.
I'm uncertain that the discourses of sovereignty and realism that some, especially Walker, criticize are particularly relevant to the way in which foreign policy is made, but as an intervention into the academic debates over theories of international relations, this book is choice.
Uniformly iconoclastic, this book will shatter your assumptions about foreign policy, and open your eyes to a growing field that could be called the critical theory of international relations. If you're interested in the theory of international relations, you need to read this book, or one like it. Cutting-edge. Marvelous. Very readable, and very relevant to current affairs, covering topics ranging from human rights to nuclear proliferation. Always eye-opening.
