Summary: GO, READ IT NOW!!
Comment: If you haven't read 'Relic' yet, this review won't mean as much to you. Still, 'Reliquary' is an amazing addition to Preston and Child's growing library of masterpieces-- not QUITE as good as its prequel, but a harrowing read nonetheless.

All our old friends come back; the intelligent and determined Margo Green, the brilliant Dr. Frock, the charming yet enigmatic Agent Pendergast, the touchy but good-natured Lt. Vincent D'Agosta, and the witty, sarcastic Bill Smithback return in this horrifying nail-biter of a story. While having a new threat introduced to the plot, it still resonates with the evil danger of the first book, and the reassuring presences of its familiar characters give you incentive to read, and find out if they come out okay.

Packed with plenty of action, horror, frequent bursts of wicked humor, and plot twists enough to knock you out of your chair, 'Reliquary' is a must-read for everyone who read the first Museum Beast best-seller, and a soon-enough read for those who haven't read 'Relic' yet. Either way, you MUST get your hands on this book. The only-- ONLY reason I didn't give it five stars was the fact that our sophisticated Southern gentleman, Agent Pendergast's first name still remains a mystery.

Summary: Reliquary: A Great Sequal!!
Comment: I just finished reading Reliquary. This book is great! It is definately on my list of my top 10 favorite books. If you read Relic, you have to read Reliquary. Once again, Preston and Child have proven that they are masters of thriller/horror novels. Those of you who read Relic will enjoy seeing the return of Margo Green, Bill Smithback, Lieutenant D'Agosta, and the ever-so-cool Special Agent Pendergast. The plot is definately an interesting one: a potential race of mini-Mbwun murdering the underground homeless and some "surface dwellers" of Manhattan, and putting the city in the cold grip of fear in the process. Several of the underground settings are fantastic, and will leave you thinking about what is really going on beneath the streets. The incident with the subway train will make you think twice the next time your train stops in the middle of a tunnel. While reading, see if you can figure out who the "Mr. Big" of the creatures is; I did. Reliquary has it all: mystery, thrills, suspense, horror, action, and one helluva surprise towards the end. This book is a must for all of you dedicated thriller readers out there

Summary: Good, not great
Comment: I love the books of these 2 authors and I really liked this one, however it was not there best effort. I thought it dragged a bit, and the facing of the monsters wasn't really well played out. I will say I did enjoy them bringing back all the charters from the 1st novel and they had some great dialogue, and also thought the conspiracy plot and the method of release was pretty good too, but it just lacked the fun of the first novel I think.
