Summary: can't do without it!
Comment: My mother gave me a copy of Christine Harris' book when I was a couple of months pregnant and after opening the book I'd wished I'd had it since day one! I immediately found information that was applicable to me personally and I could relate to everything that she had written. From then on it was a daily companion and I found it difficult to not read days, weeks, or even months ahead. I particulary liked the pages where she allowed room to write a journal entry on your thoughts and feelings that day. I still go back and read it now and then. I also liked that there was room to chart your weight and waist line. Some women may be apprehensive about charting their weight but later on your'e really glad that you did. It's fun to look back on. Two days ago I found out I was pregnant with my second child and I'm heading out to the store today to get my second copy for this pregnancy. Thank you Christine!

Summary: Kept me on top of journaling
Comment: This was a gift from my mom and I love it! In the beginning I wanted to write every day and journal everything. I tried! This journal had spaces every few days asking me questions and reminding me to journal the way that I felt. As time passed, there was not much to tell and writing every few days was just the right amount. This book kept a good pace and I was never too tired to write a few words. I love that this book informed me on the day to day growth of my little baby. There was also a lot of information on what was happening to me. They even included some parenting tips and various traditions about women and babies around the world. Now my son is 7 months old and I love to look back at the pregnancy and see that the "kick" was him.

Summary: I can't believe anyone gave this book a negative review!
Comment: I loved this book during my pregnancy. My husband and I would always check out what was going on with our baby -- what organ systems were developing, exactly how big our baby was today, etc. It became part of our bonding ritual as a pregnant couple. I agree there isn't much space to write in in the book, but that's easily solved by keeping a separate pregnancy diary. This book is just such a wonderful celebration of pregnancy!
