Summary: A really great cookbok
Comment: This is really an excellent cookbook. I've had it for about a year, and I've made several of the recipes in it for my friends and family, and gotten rave reviews every time. The recipes are all pretty time consuming, so they are best when you are entertaining and are willing to invest the time to get an extraordinary dinner. The recipes use all fresh ingredients (nothing canned or prepared) -- the pumpkin bisque is made from real pumpkins and the polenta is made from cornmeal. The recipes, though vegetarian, are mostly not vegan and not healthy, (lots of oil, cream, and/or cheese in most of them) but as I said before, it isn't an everyday cookbook to begin with, so the health factor is not a huge issue. If you like spicy food and occasionally make an elaborate meal, buy it, even if you aren't a vegetarian.
