Their work is still exciting and fresh, as this skillfully assembled collection makes clear. Unless you have studied the period extensively, you're likely to recognize only a handful of names, Calder and Stuart among them. What a wonderful surprise this book is. How could we have overlooked these gloriously gifted artists?
