Arranged by subject - Cat People, Nine Lives, Cat Chow, The Amorous Cat, The Mysterious Cat, etc. - these quotes cover every aspect of cat life and relationships. They come from a wide variety of people, including Ernest Hemingway, Louis Wain, Abraham Lincoln and Plutarch. Clearly Ms. Rogak combed a wide variety of sources for this collection. The only flaw is that the sources of the quotes are not listed, which would have added to the book's interest. However, that is the only weakness in a rich, deep and enjoyable compilation of quotes on a subject that is dear to many a human heart.
