Summary: Too much oil!
Comment: As a venerable kitchen toy junkie, I am always looking recipes to play with; so naturally when I was given a basic fondue set as a gift, I went straight to the bookstore to get a cookbook to go with it. I found this book to be beautifully photographed and drawing on all different types of cuisine, from exotic Indian and Thai to classic Swiss gruyere. However, the one drawback of this book is that most of the recipes are basically different meats cooked in oil with accompanying sauces. If this is what you are looking for, this is an excellent book for you. However, if you are looking for something a bit lighter without using so much oil, you may be disappointed.

Summary: Pretty Good
Comment: This book contains some good ideas for different kinds of fondue. The only thing that is lacking are fondue recipes in which the food does not cook in oil. I have a few recipes of my own in which the meat is cooked in broth and was looking forward to finding out more.
