Rating: 5
Summary: Coping with Lyme Disease (2nd edition)
Comment: I've had Lyme Disease for many years and only recently was diagnosed. This was like reading a biography. I find this book very helpful and refer to it often to be sure "I'm not crazy-it's just Lyme". I've had trouble finding information for the layperson that addressed my concerns and this is the best I've found so far. I recommend this to patients and caregivers. I even bought another copy for my doctor.

Rating: 5
Summary: lyme disease in children
Comment: I never read this book. I rated this book 5 stars from what other reviewers said about it and that it gives me hope that something can be done! I have just recieved the positive result of my three year old daughter's westren blot test. Can anyone give me some good news. The dear tick that was borrowed under her skin was found 4 months ago. But her IGMs are high showing an acute attack now. The doctor thinks she must of been bitten more recent. I am definatly buying this book.

Rating: 2
Summary: lyme disease book sexist
Comment: I have had Lyme for over thirty years and I am considered uncurable,so I looked forward to reading this book. It was amazing she had a chapter on young people, teens, women, elderly and animals. Where was a chapter on men? Or are we considered to be part of the animal section? Other than this glaring sexist blind spot the book did have some good points, especially to people who have just contracted the Lyme Disease.

Sincerely,
Chesley Farrell
