Summary: Side-splittingly hilarious
Comment: The history of 20th century theology is littered with fads that lasted a couple of years, then vanished like a fairies. Franz Bibfeldt boldly affirmed them all--a year too early or a year too late. His family coat of arms was Proteus rampant atop a weathervane, emblazoned with the slogan, "I dance to the tune that is played."
This book is a parody. Pastors, theologians, seminarians, and others familiar with the vagaries of Protestant theology over the past 80 years will find this book side-splittingly hilarious from cover to cover. Anyone else will probably have more fun scanning the phone book for mildly amusing names.
Rating: 1
Summary: Bibfeldt shows little substance
Comment: I really got nothing out of this volume. It is hard to decipher, and appears to have no discernable message. Its style is, at best, inaccessible.
