Summary: Great title - bad book
Comment: I was hoping for a good source of pragmatic info from someone with landlording experience. Instead I got a small book with a lot filler (same multi-page lease included twice!) and information that seems more like it was plucked from other books than from genuine experience. The "anecdotes" are actually quicky made up stories that do little more than reiterate some point the author already made. All of the info that is here is treated very superficially and without reference to outside sources for more useful explanations.
I wanted a book that filled in holes not in other books. Something that gave me some practical solutions to problems that might be glossed or left out in other books. Information that came from someone who actually ran buildings and wanted to pass on the info. This is just not that book.
Check out ISBN 1580627668 for a much more useful, more real guide.

Summary: An adequate quick reference quide with appropriate examples.
Comment: Robert Irwin's book is well written with plenty of examples of what to do and what not to do in just about any situation that arises between a tenant and a landlord. The book is well organized, easily referenced, and has wonderful "landlord rules" which are good tips for the active landlord.
