Summary: A Poignant Look at Chinese Buddhism
Comment: This story of a Buddhist monk search for his place in the wheel of life is candidly written and enjoyable. Chen-hua has very interesting things to say about the practice of Buddhism in China. He finds abuses of power at several of the monasteries he visits. A must read for someone looking for an introduction to Chinese Buddhist doctrine and principle.
