Summary: Something all Educators should have
Comment: James Banks and Cherry McGee Banks do a wonderful job of editing the material of serveral authors on various ethnic groups of the United States. The historical information regarding people of color in the US in education is accurate and thorough. The most compelling aspect of this reference is the contemporary information regarding education and minorities. All schools and educators should have a copy of this handbook to refer to when discussing or researching multicultural and /or diversity education. While there is no one book which has all the answers to multicultural education this is definiately a start.
