Summary: Great book!
Comment: Man, this is a great addition to the forgotten realms series! I never got into the whole Finders Stone Trilogy so I didnt know what to expect from this book. I was really, really surprised to find that even if you never read any of the other books in the series you will enjoy this one from the beginnning to the end. The characters in the book are interesting and the inclusion of the gods really helped out. The only down side is that if you were looking forward to the bad guys to win you will be dissapointed. I recommend to all Forgotten Realms fans.

Summary: A Realms novel that really is(though it has a poor ending)
Comment: Finder's Bane is commendable to fans of the Forgotten Realms primarily because it incorporates so many aspects of the gameworld into its plot and elaborates on them, instead of making something up that doesn't fit well into the world. There is copious reference to the gods of the world in the book; indeed, one of the primary characters is a god. The book's characters are interesting, especially the priestess of Bane and her attitudes toward less malevolent religions. The ending, however, is frustrating and inconclusive. I got the impression that the characters would have become more interesting if they had to deal with the ignomony of releasing Bane back into the world. Sometimes the bad guys should win. In any case, Forgotten Realms fans will enjoy and appreciate this book. If you like Bane, though, get ready for a letdown.

Summary: A welcome return to form
Comment: Just as good as the original Alias novels; colourful, well-written, and enjoyable. Highly recommended.
