Comment: This is by far the best book on conception and fertility. The author gathers the latest scientific research and combines it with a common-sense approach. Just one example: many other books spend a chapter on how to choose the sex of your baby, but only this one cites the most relevant fact: none of the "at-home" methods work, as proven by an article in a leading medical journal.

Given the emphasis on research, the advice here is the most likely to lead to a healthy conception. I keep coming back to the helpful advice and useful graphs on how fertility is affected by factors such as age and weight. This is the book I have recommended to friends who are thinking about getting pregnant.

Comment: When we decided it was time to get pregnant, I wanted to understand what was happening to my body - so I went book hunting. I was impressed that he wrote this book for his wife - an average, healthy woman who just wanted to understand what she needed to do to prepare for a healthy pregnancy. I also appreciated that he was writing for women who did not have any known fertility issues. Most books I looked at were designed for couples have trouble conceiving. This booked reviewed the basic biology, concerns about contraception, exercise, nutrition, common misconceptions and possible fertility concern. I found the chapter on how to monitor my fertility to the most helpful! I've loaned it to two friends who also agree it's the best book on conceiving they have seen.

Summary: Saved my Sanity!
Comment: After a year of trying to get pregnant I finally decided to be more proactive and buy some books. I bought this book and another at the same time. I read this one first, I followed everything the author said to do and was pregnant the same month! It is written for couples that have no fertility problems just lack of information and bad timing. It is easy to read and understand! I would reccommend this to anyone who wants to get pregnant quickly!!
