Comment: If you're looking for a cure for insomnia, try reading this book. I almost needed to make a list of all the people involved because there were so many, especially with the same last name although not related.
This book is about the true story of the brutal 1988 murder of Myra Davis, 71, who was Janet Leigh's body double and in the film "Psycho." Her homicide remained unsolved until investigators linked her killing with that of Jean Orlof, 60, murdered in 1998. Police arrested local handyman Kenneth Hunt, who, they believed, targeted older women.

Summary: Do not miss this one!!!
Comment: As in all of his efforts Mr. Lasseter tastefully and intelligently tell his story...while keeping his reader up all night unable to stop until the last page is turned.In "Body Double" we learn of the brutal murder of Myra Davis...the 71 year old former actress who served as the double for Janet Leigh in the movie "Psycho"s infamous shower scene...Miss Davis' body is discovered by her beloved granddaughter who although deeply traumatized tells police that she has had a bad feeling about a "wierd" neighbor...mistakes are made and it is not until another grizzly slaying of an elderly woman some time later that the cruel, sick killer is caught and brought to trial...shades of Norman Bates? This authors gentle empathetic handling of such gruesome subject matter makes this terrifying book a must read.
