Summary: Solid ADO
Comment: Coming from a known expert on VB, SQL and Microsoft technologies, I was glad to read this title and not be let down. This book gives you a solid overview and gave me what I needed to know about ADO. Its a good read.

Summary: Just an overview.... not much detail
Comment: I am new to ADO and wanted detailed info on how to get around the new recordsets, modify them, bind them etc. This handbook will gloss over lots of points including ADO controls, Data environments, recordsets etc, but does not go into details. I would not recommend this book.

Summary: ADO 2.5 is available
Comment: ADO 2.5 was released with Windows 2000 but is not restricted to Windows 2000. It is a single download from the Microsoft Web site and installs like a dream. It works with any version of Windows 95 on. I have to admit that I found that most of this book was relevant to any version of ADO from 2.1 on.
