Summary: Worth the Money
Comment: I hate tests. I heard from a lot of people that the CBEST was easy, but I have been out of school for a long time and didn't want to take a chance. This book was easy to follow. Yes, there was a lot of information in it, but it was worthwhile. The test wasn't that hard, but I was very confident thanks to the Barron's CBEST book.

Summary: Best way to prepare...
Comment: Some people complain that this book has practice tests that are HARDER than the actual CBEST. It is true... but to me that is a good thing. I'd much rather find the practice tests harder, than to find the actual test more difficult. By completing these practice tests, the ACTUAL CBEST WAS A BREEZE! I've heard that only about 1/2 of the people who take the CBEST pass on the first attempt. I don't know if it's true, but I know that I passed easily and this book was my only preparation.

Summary: Don't bother with this book!
Comment: This book is a waste of time. I studied off and on for a couple of weeks, only to find that the actual exam was a lot easier than i expected. You are better off studying the sample questions that is included in the CBEST registration bulletin. The sample tests in the Barron's guide were needlessly difficult and somewhat stressful. Don't bother with this book at all!
