Summary: A good beginning for the study of health
Comment: I am studying to be a certified nutritionist and this is the textbook for my first class. I have found this book to be very thorough, yet consise and to the point. The information is pertinent and up-to-date. The authors take a holistic approach and the book covers diet, healthy lifestyle choices, emotional health and well being, as well as important information on body functions. It isn't overly technical (which is nice for a beginner) but provides enough detail. I recommend it as an introduction to learning about nutrition or health.
