Comment: A superb look at the history of cartography. Johnson begins with some of the oldest known maps and ends with some of the most up-to-date technologies used in mapmaking. In the middle the ways that map making has evolved over the centuries are addressed. This is a wonderful resource for research or for anyone who is interested in this topic.
