Summary: Heart-Warming Read!!!
Comment: This book has got to be one of the most heart-warming books I have read in a long time. Noon, the daughter of a preacher-man, was raped when she was 12 years old and was left unable to bear children. She lives with this horrible secret for the rest of her life even after she is married to Herbie. Herbie, confused as to why his own wife won't have sex with him, falls into the arms of Ethel, and blues-singer in the club that he frequents often. After Ethel lives mysteriously, a baby is left on the front steps of Noon and Herbie's home. They named her Fannie. Years later, another child was left on the front steps of the home by the name of Liz. This begins the story that will have you crying, laughing , and it surprises you with a twist at the end of the story . Happy reading!!!

Summary: A Good Book
Comment: This is now my second book that I've read by Diane McKinney-Whetstone, Blues Dancing being the other one, and she is definitely a writer to watch. Although I personally enjoyed Blues Dancing more, Tumbling was, nevertheless, a very memorable story. The story begins with Herbie coming home one day after a night out drinking to find that his front steps had a baby waiting there for him to find. From that moment, my attention was grabbed. The reason why I would give this book 4 instead of 5 stars is because I found the story seemed to drag along from time to time. Other than the occasional feelings of "Get to the point", I found myself having a good time reading this book. I will definitely reading Tempest Rising some time this year as well as any other books she writes.

Summary: Hearttwarming and Well written!
Comment: Tumbling was a very quick and good read! I enjoyed it from the first page to the last. There were alot of different issues going on in this story. You have Noon and Herbie who have been married for three years and have never had sex. Because of this Herbie turns to another woman, Ethel who is named the town whore. Every woman's nightmare and every man's fantasy. She has a secret that she has been holding back from Herbie that could change everything.

Herbie comes home one night from the club and finds a small box on his steps with a baby girl inside. They end up adopting this girl and naming her Fannie. Fannie is very smart girl and at the age of 10 she can predict the future. A couple of years later Noon and Fannie are walking home from the store and there is a girl sitting there. Noon ends up adopting this girl. Her name is Liz. But Liz has a problem, when she gets upset she eats plaster and uses the bathrom on herself. I thought this would stop, but at the age of 18 this continued.

I fell in love with all the characters and never wanted the story to end. This was a very good read and highly recommend Tumbling to all book lovers!
